Exceed Your Dreams with a Career & Technical Education
 
 
 
Students in grades 9 through 12 may enroll in  career and technical education programs and academic courses providing a rigorous academic foundation needed for college success, career readiness and life-long learning.  All fifteen career and technical education programs are  Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry designated high priority occupations.  Academic courses, which include direct instruction, career instruction and college prep/honors, plus Spanish, are offered. Students attend on a full time or part time basis. Technical College High School, Pickering Campus is a four-year, comprehensive public high school/CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CENTER accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Middle  States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

There are many reasons to choose a career and technical education, including:

  • Developing the technical skills critical to obtaining a successful and rewarding career
  • Higher earnings and greater job opportunities than unskilled workers
  • Training in the highest-paid and most sought after careers
  • Head start on college through dual-enrollment programs
  • Work experience and on-the-job training through cooperative education and school-to-career programs
