Watershed Technology -  January 31, 9:00 AM -12:00 PM

Presented in partnership with the Stroud Water Research Center in Chester County, participants will explore new technological tools to support student learning about watersheds, stream health, and water quality.

Teaching STEM with BOTS -  March 1, 8:00 - 11:00 AM
Participants will be introduced to Hummingbird Robotics Kits and Finch Robots to explore integrating STEM and programming to create hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Coding with Dash and Dot -  March 14, 8:00 - 11:00 AM
With the help of Dash and Dot, endearing and fun robot friends, coding becomes fun and interactive. Participants will engage in a series of challenges to learn basic coding and how this can be integrated into the classroom environment. 

Texas Instruments: STEM and Coding - March 15, 12:30 - 3:30 PM 
Learn how to code with the TI handhelds to allow students to develop skills for the 21st century work force. Participants will receive a copy of the TI-Smartview for the TI-84 Plus family and a copy of the TI-Nspire Teacher Edition software. PLUS one lucky participant will take home their choice of a TI-84 Plus CE, a TI-Nspire CX, or a TI-Nspire CX CAS.

Place Value, Addition and Subtraction - April 12, 3:45 - 6:45 PM
For Early Childhood Educators: Participants will learn the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) sequence of instruction as it relates to teaching these math concepts to young learners. 
Coding for Kids - May 10, 3:45 - 6:45 PM
For Early Childhood Educators: Learn how coding is a fun and effective way to teach problem solving and critical thinking skills, even to our youngest students!
